Required Tools
Two wrenches (17 mm and 40 mm).
Hammer or mallet.
1. Base Fixture
Use the 17 mm wrench to firmly hold the sensor base in place. This will help avoid adhesion damage during the process.
2. Sensor Loosening
With the 40 mm wrench positioned at the indicated metal area, loosen the Smart Trac by turning it counterclockwise. Make sure to fully remove the sensor.
3. Removing the Adhered Base
Use a hammer or mallet to gently tap the side of the base.
Start with light taps and gradually increase force until the base comes loose.
Important note: Avoid striking sensitive parts of the equipment. In fragile surface materials, like aluminum or cast iron housings, proceed with extra caution.
If the sensor replacement process happens frequently, we recommend requesting extra bases from our team to keep them pre-adhered to the equipment. This will speed up sensor reinstallation and maintain process efficiency.
