With Warehouses, you can manage where materials are stored within the company, ensuring precise inventory control.
Managing Warehouses
Materials can be distributed across different warehouses, allowing detailed control over where each part is stored.
Additionally, warehouses can be linked to the Asset Tree, defining which users will have access based on platform-configured permissions.
Using Warehouses
Warehouses are used for various inventory management purposes, including:
Inventory valuation: Calculate the total value stored in each warehouse based on part quantities and prices.
Organizing materials by department: Separate inventory by units, areas, or cost centers.
Movement tracking: Monitor the entry, issue, and transfer of materials.
Configuring Stock Addresses
A Stock Address defines the exact location of parts within a warehouse and can represent:
Departments
Aisles
Shelves
Specific storage areas
Spare parts can be linked to specific addresses for more accurate tracking and handling.
