The Tractian platform allows automated emails to be sent with key information about monitored assets. There are two types of alerts you can configure:
Plant Digest: An email with an overview of what happened during the day, week, or month.
Insights Reminder: A monthly email sent only when there’s an accumulation of unverified insights.
Condition Report: A structured report that provides an overview of asset health, highlighting assets with lower health scores, pending issues, and overall condition trends.
This article explains how to set up each one and what content users will receive.
Accessing and Configuring the Email Digest
The Email Digest button is located at the top-right corner of the Overview tab in the platform.
Clicking it lets you configure both the Plant Digest and Insight Reminders.
Configuring the Plant Digest
The Plant Digest sends an automated email summarizing the most relevant events recorded on the platform for a given period. You can choose to receive it daily, weekly, or monthly. The digest includes:
Generated Insights: Up to 3 of the latest insights, with fault name, asset, and detection date (not creation date);
Completed Inspections: Up to 3 inspections marked as “Done”;
Resolved Events: Up to 3 recently resolved failures;
Total Number of Failures Identified.
To configure:
Click "Plant Digest";
Select the users who should receive the digest and choose the frequency: daily, weekly, or monthly;
View a preview of the report on the side panel, or download it as a PDF;
Click "Save changes."
Important note: Only users with admin or general access permissions can view and edit this configuration.
Configuring the Insights Reminder
This email is sent monthly and only when the platform detects a backlog of unverified insights. It includes:
Total number of pending insights;
Number of insights verified that month;
Daily average of insight generation;
Three of the oldest unverified insights.
To configure:
Click "Insights Reminder";
Select the users who should receive this monthly email;
Preview and download the report as a PDF;
Click "Save changes."
Important note: This report is always sent on the last day of the month.
Configuring the Condition Report
The Condition Report is an email-based report that provides an overview of the plant’s asset health over a selected period. It helps you quickly understand asset conditions without needing to access dashboards or reports in the platform.
In the Condition Report, you can:
View overall asset health
Identify assets with lower health scores
Track pending issues related to asset condition
The goal is to make it easier to prioritize maintenance actions and increase visibility into critical assets.
To configure:
Click “Condition Report”.
Choose which users should receive the report at each frequency:
Save the changes.
After configuration, the Condition Report will be sent automatically according to the selected frequency. You can also use the Send me now option to immediately send a preview of the report.
