Platform Overview

Updated over 2 weeks ago

The Overview centralizes the plant’s key operational information, allowing users to quickly understand asset status, prioritize actions, and access investigations, failures, and recent activities.

This page can be displayed in two formats:

  • List

  • Cards

Both formats present the same information and use asset condition–based prioritization (Danger, Warning, Observe, and Normal). The only difference is the visual organization.

General Operation Indicators

In the upper-left corner, the platform displays a summary of the plant’s operational status:

  • Operating: number of assets running normally.

  • Stopped: assets that are not operating but have not been shut down.

  • Offline: assets with no communication at the moment.

These indicators help quickly understand asset availability.

Alarming Assets

This section shows how many assets are outside normal condition, automatically classified by Tractian according to the actual severity of the failure:

  • Danger: critical condition that requires immediate action.

  • Warning: relevant condition that must be analyzed and addressed.

  • Observe: behavior outside the standard, not yet critical.

  • Normal: healthy assets with no active failures.

The color bar visually represents the distribution of these conditions across the plant.

Investigations

Displays the volume of ongoing analyses in the plant:

  • Pending Insights: automatically generated diagnostics that have not yet been reviewed.

  • Open Inspections: inspections that are in progress or awaiting completion.

This section helps track the team’s analysis and investigation workload.

How to access Insights

The Overview allows quick access to insights without navigating through multiple screens.

Access insights through Investigations

  1. Click the "Pending Insights" number in the Investigations section;

  2. The platform automatically filters assets that have open insights;

  3. Click the insight title to open the details page.

Access insights through List or Cards

  1. Locate the desired asset;

  2. Click directly on the insight title associated with the asset.

Access insights through the Activity Feed

In List view, the Activity Feed displays recent events, including insight creation.

  1. Locate the insight in the feed.

  2. Click the insight title to access it directly.

These paths ensure quick access to diagnostics regardless of the selected view.

Unresolved Failures

Provides a summary of identified failures that have not yet been resolved:

  • Potential Failures: predicted issues that may evolve.

  • Confirmed Failures: validated failures that require corrective action.

This information supports maintenance prioritization.

Overview Filters

Below the main indicators, filters are available to refine the asset view:

  • Status

  • Assignees

  • Insights

  • Identified Failures

You can also apply saved filters or create new ones by clicking Add filter. Filters directly affect the list or cards displayed on the screen.

Cards View

In Cards view, alarming assets are organized into columns based on condition:

  • Danger

  • Warning

  • Observe

Each card represents an asset and displays:

  • Asset name and hierarchy

  • Current condition

  • Time in alert

This view is ideal for quick prioritization and visual workload assessment.

List View

In List view, assets are displayed linearly and prioritized by asset condition. This view allows users to:

  • Quickly identify assets that require immediate attention

  • Track real-time updates

  • Act directly on insights without navigating multiple screens

Activity Feed

Displays recent plant events, organized by date:

  • Failure detection

  • Insight creation

  • Operational event records

You can click directly on an insight title in the feed to access it.

Mentions

Shows comments in which the user was mentioned:

  • Mentions in insights

  • Mentions in events

This section ensures no team request goes unnoticed.
