This template lets you add or update operations (activities) inside work order templates that are linked to existing maintenance plans. Each operation represents a specific task within a larger work order, such as an inspection step, a lubrication activity, or a replacement procedure.
What Is It For
Use this template to:
Create new operations inside a work order template that is already linked to a plan
Update existing operations on a plan-linked work order template
Control which recurrence cycles each operation applies to
Set operation details: activity type, assigned team, planned working time, number of workers, assigned users, inventory items, procedures, and target asset
This template cannot create plans or work order templates. Both must already exist, and the work order template must already be linked to the plan.
Import and Export
This template supports both import and export.
Export downloads all operations currently configured on your plan-linked work order templates.
Import creates new operations or updates existing ones on plan-linked work order templates. Each row must reference an existing plan and a work order template already linked to it.
Export from import is available after a successful import and downloads the imported data in spreadsheet format.

The Work Order Template Name must exactly match a template already linked to the specified plan.
Use the exact recurrence cycle names as defined on the plan.
Each operation Title must be unique within the same work order template on the same plan.

Frequently Asked Questions
Can I create a plan or a work order template with this template? No. Use the Plans V2 template to create plans and the Plans V2 Work Order Template to link work order templates. Only then can you add operations with this template.
What happens if the work order template is not linked to the plan? The import will fail for that row. Make sure to link the work order template to the plan first.
What happens if I leave Recurrence Titles empty? The operation applies to all recurrence cycles defined on the plan.
Can I have two operations with the same name? Not within the same work order template on the same plan. Each Title must be unique in that context.
What format should I use for Planned Working Time? Use the duration format required by your platform, typically hours and minutes (for example, 01:30 for one hour and thirty minutes).
If you have questions, contact support or refer to the platform documentation.
