This template lets you attach, update, or manage work order templates on maintenance plans that already exist. It controls which work order templates are linked to a plan and which recurrence cycles each template applies to.
What Is It For
Use this template to:
Create new work order templates and attach them to an existing plan
Update the configuration of work order templates already linked to a plan
Control which recurrence cycles (for example, 500h, 1000h) each template is linked to
Set metadata on the template: description, priority, categories, asset path, assigned users and teams, estimated duration, and tags
This template cannot create new plans. The plan must already exist before you can link work order templates to it.
Import and Export
This template supports both import and export.
Export downloads all work order templates currently linked to your plans, with their configuration and recurrence assignments.
Import creates new work order templates on plans or updates existing ones. Each row must reference an existing plan by its plan number.
Export from import is available after a successful import and downloads the imported data in spreadsheet format.

Columns in Detail
Plan Number The number of the plan to which you want to attach the work order template. The plan must exist and must not be finished. Required for every row.
Recurrence Titles The names of the recurrence cycles on the plan that this template should be linked to. Use the exact cycle names as they appear in the plan (for example, 500h, 1000h). Separate multiple names with commas. Leave empty to link the template to all cycles. Enter a single dash (-) to link the template to no cycles, effectively removing it from all cycles.
Id The unique identifier of an existing work order template. Fill this to update a specific template by its ID. Leave empty to create a new template, or to update an existing template by matching its title.
Title The name of the work order template. If Id is empty and a template with this exact title already exists on the plan, the system treats the row as an update. Required for every row.
Description A detailed description of what this work order template covers. Free text.
Priority Name The priority to assign to work orders generated from this template. Must be an existing priority name in your company.
Work Order Categories The categories to assign to the work order template. Must be existing category names. Separate multiple values with commas.
Asset Path The full hierarchical path to the target asset. Must match exactly as shown in the asset tree (for example, Factory/Line 1/Motor A).
Assigned Emails The email addresses of users responsible for the template. Must be existing users. Separate multiple values with commas.
Assigned Teams The names of teams assigned to execute the template. Must be existing teams. Separate multiple values with commas.
Estimated Duration The estimated time to complete the work order, in minutes.
Tags Free text labels for organizing templates. Separate multiple values with commas.
Custom Fields
This template supports custom fields. If your company has custom fields configured for work order templates, additional columns will appear in the template. Custom fields may be of various types: text, number, date, dropdown, or multi-select. Fill them following the format indicated in the column header or in the platform configuration.
Tips
Create plans first using the Plans V2 template before linking work order templates.
Use the exact recurrence cycle names as defined on the plan. Check plan details in the platform if you are unsure.
Use empty Recurrence Titles to link a template to all cycles, or a single dash (-) to remove it from all cycles.
If you use the same Title as a template already on the plan and leave Id empty, the system updates the existing template instead of creating a duplicate.
Verify that assets, users, teams, categories, and priorities exist before importing.
Each Title must be unique per plan in the same file unless you provide the Id column to distinguish rows.
Run validation before importing large files to catch errors early.

Frequently Asked Questions
Can I create a new plan with this template? No. Use the Plans V2 template to create plans first. This template only links work order templates to existing plans.
What happens if I leave Recurrence Titles empty? The template is linked to all recurrence cycles defined on the plan.
What does a dash (-) in Recurrence Titles mean? It means the template is not linked to any recurrence cycle. This is useful if you want to keep the template on the plan but temporarily remove it from all cycles.
How does update by name work? If you leave Id empty and use a Title that matches an existing template on the plan, the system automatically treats the row as an update for that template.
What if the plan is finished? Finished plans cannot be modified. Use a different plan or create a new one.
Can I add the same template to multiple plans? Yes. Include one row per plan, each with the same Title but different Plan Number.
If you have questions, contact support or refer to the platform documentation.
