Data Migration and Initial Preparation for TracOS™

Before you start using the platform, you may need to migrate important information about your operation to the TRACTIAN platform, i.e. enter the information about your assets, your plans, inventory items and Work Orders previously recorded in an Excel document or on another platform.

Data Migration Process

To streamline the data import process into the TRACTIAN platform, we provide a standard spreadsheet template. Simply contact our team to access this template and start organizing your information. The spreadsheet contains specific columns that should be filled out accurately to ensure a smooth migration. The main categories are:

  • Assets: Include detailed information such as asset name, ID, location, manufacturer, serial number, acquisition date, and other relevant equipment data.

  • Maintenance Plans: List the maintenance plans associated with each asset, including a detailed description of tasks, execution frequency, assigned personnel, and scheduled dates.

  • Inventory: Register inventory items, including part name, identification code, available quantity, supplier, and unit cost.

  • Work Orders: Enter previously issued Work Orders, providing details like WO ID, issue date, status, responsible personnel, and action history.

It is essential that the data is concatenated and organized according to the format provided in the template, as this speeds up the import process and helps prevent errors during the platform setup.

To ensure a successful import, make sure that:

  1. All required fields are completed;

  2. Data is in the correct format, with no typos or empty fields.

Understanding how to insert information into the TRACTIAN platform

In order for you to understand how, where and what information should be entered into the platform, we have prepared specific training sessions exclusively for our clients in the TRACTIAN Academy.

When accessing the Academy, type TracOS into the search bar. This will help you find the training quickly.

You will see all the content related to TracOS™. It is important that you select the course according to your position, because each one has been developed based on the characteristics of each position.

At the beginning of each training course are the modules dedicated to the general and initial configurations of the platform. Then you can check out the specific content for each section of the platform (e.g. Work Orders, Plans, etc.).

With this, you have everything you need to understand how to enter the most fundamental information about your operation and start using TracOS™.

Important note: we would like to emphasize that good usability and accuracy of the information provided by the platform depend on careful and detailed filling in of the necessary data. So make sure you enter the information correctly.
