In this topic, we will explain a bit more about the types of integration under which we will build the integration project between the TRACTIAN Platform and your industry's ERP.
Event/Period:
Event-based integration: occurs when the integration between systems is triggered by specific events that occur in the platform. These events can be the creation, update, or deletion of a new work order, for example.
When this event is triggered, it acts as a trigger to initiate the integration and trigger the transfer of data or the execution of actions between the systems involved.
Event-based integration is commonly used in scenarios where it is important to have an immediate response to changes in a system, allowing data synchronization or transfer in real-time.
Periodic Integration: As the name suggests, periodic integration occurs at predefined time intervals, regardless of specific events occurring or not.
In this type of integration, the systems involved are configured to perform integration tasks at predetermined times, such as hourly, daily, or weekly.
This allows the systems to be synchronized at regular intervals, even if there are no specific events or actions occurring in real-time.
Directional/Bi-Directional:
Directional Integration: This is a type of integration where systems or applications communicate in a single direction, usually in the form of unidirectional data flow.
In other words, there is a data source point and a data destination point, and the information flows linearly from one to the other.
This type of integration is common in scenarios where information needs to be transmitted from one system to another without the need for immediate feedback or response.
Bi-Directional Integration: allows communication in both directions between the systems or applications involved. This means that information can flow from one system to another and also return, allowing for bidirectional and interactive data exchange.
This is useful in scenarios where systems need to communicate and interact dynamically, such as CRM and ERP system integration, where customer information can be updated and shared in both systems in real-time.
Now that you understand the forms of integration between the TRACTIAN Platform and your ERP, you need to define which one will be used in your integration before starting the project.
