  3. Click on a sample in the chart to open the Spectral Analysis of the selected sample.

Sample Information

At the top of the spectral analysis screen, the following are available:

  • Date and time when the sample was performed.

  • Asset identification.

  • Asset technical summary, accessible by clicking on the corresponding icon.

  • Sample details, accessible by clicking on its identification.

  • In Expert Mode, the sample audio may also be available.

Spectrum Settings

The configuration panel allows adjusting how data is displayed in the chart:

  • Spectrum: defines the type of spectrum displayed.

  • Type: defines the type of spectrum (velocity, acceleration, envelope).

  • Unit: selects the measurement unit on the Y axis.

  • Frequency: defines the unit on the X axis (Hz, RPM, or orders).

  • Scale: sets maximum limits for visualization on the Y axis.

Interaction with Charts

Spectrum

  • Each colored line represents a measurement in one direction (Axial, Vertical, or Horizontal).

  • The legend shows exact values as the cursor moves across the spectrum.

  • Options to enable/disable axes, zoom in/out, and reset zoom.

Waveform

  • Displays samples data over time.

  • Same tools and interactions as the spectrum.

Available Tools

  • Cursor: inserts markers at specific points.

  • Ruler: measures frequency or time difference between two points.

  • Harmonic selector: highlights harmonics related to a selected frequency.

  • Sidebands: highlights lateral bands associated with a frequency.

Failure Frequencies

This functionality automatically highlights fault frequencies in different components.

Examples:

  • Bearings: BPFI, BPFO, BSF, FTF

  • Gears: GMF, FR, FM, output RPM

  • Belts and pulleys: BPF

  • Motor: 2X FL

  • Blades/Impellers: BPF
