Analytics in the Tractian App

Updated this week

The mobile Analytics environment provides a technical interface for vibration analysis, integrating trend charts with high-resolution spectrum data to monitor industrial asset health.

Navigation and Trend Charts

The mobile experience offers a continuous diagnostic workflow that bridges high-level monitoring with deep technical analysis.

  • Available Charts: Monitor trends for Velocity RMS, Acceleration RMS, Temperature, and Rotation.

  • Synchronized Metrics: As you navigate through time, all active charts update simultaneously, keeping every metric aligned to the same exact moment.

  • Cursor Modes:

    • Free Cursor: Synchronizes and displays values across all active charts at once for direct comparison.

    • Anchored Cursor: Locks onto specific data points during horizontal scrolls to maintain a fixed temporal focus.

  • Native Interactions: Explore history with a finger scroll, use pinch-to-zoom for detail, and press and hold to move the data tooltip.

Mobile Spectrum Analysis

When a potential anomaly is identified in a trend chart, you can instantly launch the Mobile Spectrum view by tapping any data point.

  • Seamless Transition: the view automatically mirrors the selected timestamp and axis (Vertical, Horizontal, or Axial) to maintain immediate context.

  • Automated Zoom Rules: The system applies intelligent scales to accelerate root-cause investigation:

    • Velocity Spectrums: Default to a 0-1000 Hz range.

    • Acceleration Envelopes: Dynamically scale up to 4.5x the highest registered Bearing Fault Frequency (BPFI) of the asset.

  • Horizontal Mode: Use full-screen horizontal mode to expand your visual space, making spectral interpretation and fault frequencies clearer.

Advanced Diagnostic Tools

The interface includes specialized features for deep-dive analysis:

  • Trend Band: A mini-trend chart positioned below the spectrum that allows you to observe how spectral peaks evolved over time by dragging a cursor.

  • Fault Frequency Overlays: Visual markers placed over significant peaks to identify specific component failures.

  • Real-Time Correlation: Synchronized cursors allow for precise correlation between time-domain anomalies and frequency-domain faults.

Configuration and Field Management

The analysis environment is highly customizable through the Screen Setup to meet specific diagnostic standards:

  • HD Samples™: Toggle between AI-driven analysis and HD Samples™. You can view sample profiles, analyze resolution parameters directly from the mobile device.

  • Y-Axis Adjustments (inside charts): Select between RMS, Zero-to-Peak, or Peak-to-Peak axis types.

  • Filters and Scales: Enable downtime filtering and adjust frequency scales between Hz and RPM.
