Consumer Groups and Energy Contracts
Updated over a week ago

Consumer Groups are sets of locations and assets that share the same energy contract specifications, such as rates and contracted limits.

Add an Electric Energy Consumer Group

  1. Go to "Settings" and select "Consumer Groups" from the menu on the left.

  2. Click on "Add Consumer Group."

Important note: by default, the Consumer Groups feature is only available to administrators. If you need to grant access to another user, adjust the permissions for that user accordingly.

Fill in the following fields based on your energy contract. The necessary information can be found on one of your monthly bills:

Consumer Group Name: Provide the name of the consumer unit.

  • Example: Company A - Unit II

Energy Utility: Select your energy utility.

Subgroup: Select the subgroup:

  • A1 – supply voltage equal to or greater than 230 kV;

  • A2 – supply voltage from 88 kV to 138 kV;

  • A3 – supply voltage of 69 kV;

  • A3a – supply voltage from 30 kV to 44 kV;

  • A4 – supply voltage from 2.3 kV to 25 kV;

  • AS – supply voltage below 2.3 kV, from an underground distribution system.

Company Tariff Mode: Select the tariff mode:

  • Blue Tariff: Different rates for power demand and energy consumption during peak and off-peak hours.

  • Green Tariff: A single demand rate, with different rates for energy consumption during peak and off-peak hours.

Locations: Select the locations corresponding to the same energy contract from your asset tree. If your company has only one physical location, select the root.

Energy Meters: Choose the main energy meters that will be considered in the total consumption of the consumer group (e.g., Main Panels and Main Transformers).

Creating a Contract

On the platform, rates and contractual limits are configured on the contract page based on the Consumer Group information.

Contracts should be configured to handle real-world scenarios and will serve as the basis for charts and reports on the platform.

Important note: once a Contract is created, its information cannot be edited. You can add attachments if necessary. If any data was entered incorrectly, please contact our Support Team.

Scroll down the page and fill in the contract information:

  • Contract Period: Set the contract start and end dates.

  • Tariff Rates: Automatically filled in based on the Consumer Group data.

  • Rates and Contracted Limits: Define the limits based on the tariff modes.

Demand Information:

It is necessary to configure the cost ($/kW) and the value of the contracted demand (kW) for off- peak, mid-peak, and peak hours, in addition to the established measurement tolerance.

Consumption Information:

It is necessary to configure the cost ($/kWh) and the value of the monthly demand limit (kWh) for off- peak, mid-peak, and peak hours in addition to the established tolerance.

Activate Overuse Alerts for Demand and Consumption

Select the "Generate Alerts" button to activate Consumption and Demand alerts based on the established limits. When activated, the values from the Main Meters will be combined, and if the sum exceeds the limit, an Insight will be generated on the platform.

Important note: alerts can only be activated for active Contracts.

Files and Attachments

You can add attachments and documents to contracts. It is recommended to keep a copy of your monthly bills or any relevant documents for energy management.
