Energy Trac is an IoT-enabled sensor designed for real-time monitoring of three-phase voltage and current in industrial environments. With continuous acquisition and analysis based on consumption and signal variations, the sensor enables early detection of electrical anomalies. While voltage is measured directly, current is measured indirectly through current transformers (CTs).
Data Acquisition
Data is collected with high accuracy and consistency, supporting different types of electrical signal analysis:
Sampling frequency: 1 Hz to 8 kHz
Full signal acquisition for detailed waveform analysis
Transient detection, triggered by sudden signal variations
FFT (Fast Fourier Transform) analysis, capturing up to 4096 lines every 5 minutes (default)
Voltage Measurement
Voltage is measured via a 4-wire cable with the following operating ranges:
90 V to 277 V (Line–Neutral)
156 V to 480 V (Line–Line)
Current Measurement
Current is measured indirectly using current transformers (CTs), which must be selected according to the nominal current and physical characteristics of the monitored equipment.

Communication and Data Transmission
The Energy Trac sensor is equipped with an internal modem that automatically transmits data to the Tractian platform:
Connection via 2G, 3G, or 4G cellular networks, with automatic carrier selection
Support for Wi-Fi communication
External antenna included to ensure reliable connectivity
Built-in LED indicating signal and connection status
Power Supply
The sensor is powered directly from the electrical panel where it is installed. It does not require battery replacement or charging, ensuring continuous operation.
Mounting and Installation
Energy Trac offers flexible mounting options for industrial use:
Neodymium magnets for quick installation on metallic surfaces
Compatible with 35 × 7.5 mm DIN rails, standard in most electrical panels
Operating Temperature Range
The sensor's operational temperature range depends on the current transformer used:
Minimum temperature: -22 °F (-30 °C)
Maximum temperature: 140 °F (60 °C)
These limits ensure safe and reliable performance even in environments with extreme temperature variation.
