Reserving Spare Parts in a Work Order

Updated over a week ago

Ensuring that all necessary parts for completing a Work Order are reserved is crucial not only for the smooth execution of an activity but also for good inventory control.

Adding Parts

In the planning stage of an activity within a Work Order, click on "Add" to select from all the parts registered in your inventory.

If the desired part is not yet registered, click on "Register New Item" in the upper right corner of the inventory tab. To complete the registration, you will need to fill in the information with as much detail as possible to ensure the correct availability of the part.

Fill in the registration carefully and with as much detail as possible to ensure the correct availability of the spare part.

Then, during part selection, you can choose all the necessary parts for the activity and define the required quantity.

Reserving Parts

If stock is available, the required quantity of parts will be reserved for the activity when the Work Order is saved, provided the "Reserve" field is selected.

If you want to duplicate the reservation, just click on the three dots next to the delete icon.

The reservation will only be effective upon saving the Work Order.

If there is no available stock, it is possible to associate the parts with the activity without creating a reservation, allowing planning to continue without interruptions.

Viewing Part Reservations in Inventory

In the part view on the Inventory page, the quantity reserved in the Work Order will be deducted from the available inventory quantity, representing the stock balance minus the reserved quantity.

When the withdrawal of the reserved quantity is recorded, the stock balance will be updated.
