Deleting information from the platform: important warnings
Deleting information from the platform: important warnings
Updated over a week ago

Before deleting any information from the TracOS™ platform, it is essential to make sure that there is no other data linked to it. Therefore, below is what needs to be done before deleting information from the platform.

Deleting Assets

Before deleting any asset, make sure that:

  1. The Work Orders for that asset are associated with another Asset or Location;

  2. The Plans linked to this asset are associated with another Asset or Location;

  3. The Metrics of this asset are associated with another Asset or Location;

  4. And finally, that the Requests linked to that asset are associated with another Asset or Location.

This way, if this information still needs to be consulted and tracked, you won't lose it, you'll just relocate it.

Deleting Categories

Before deleting a category, make sure that the information from Work Orders, Requests and Plans is relocated to another existing category.

That way, you'll still be able to filter all this information when necessary.

Deleting Waiting Reasons

Before deleting a Waiting Reason:

  1. Check which Work Orders are assigned to it;

  2. Access the Orders and change the Waiting Reason.

Changing a Waiting Reason

There are two alternatives for changing a Waiting Reason within a Work Order:

By status

  1. Access the Work Order;

  2. Change its status to "Open" again;

  3. Click on "On Hold" and select a new Reason.

By Review

You can also use the work order review to report changes to the waiting reasons. Find out more about Work Order review here.

Deleting users

Before deleting users, you must:

  1. Assign the assets associated with that user to other users of the platform;

  2. Change Work Orders for which he is Responsible;

  3. Change Plans for which he is Responsible;

  4. Change Metrics for which he is Responsible;

  5. Change Inventory Items for which they are Responsible.
