Set asset criticality
Click on your profile icon in the upper-right corner of the screen;
In the menu that appears, click on "Settings";
Then click on "Assets", and select "Criticality";
Click the "Add Criticality" button in the top right corner.
Fill in the following fields:
Criticality Name: Assign a name to the criticality category. We recommend using standardized labels such as A, B, C, and allowing for subdivisions like A1, A2, B1, C2, etc.
Important note: The smaller the number and the closer to the letter A, the higher the criticality. Example: A1 represents higher criticality than C2.
Description: Add a brief explanation of the category’s criticality. Include examples of asset types that should fall under this classification.
Assets: Select the assets that belong to this category. You can search by asset name and select all that apply.
Set insight sensitivity
While creating or editing a criticality category, scroll to the "Insight Configuration and Sensitivity" section.
Choose the sensitivity level that will apply to all assets within that criticality category.
The higher the selected sensitivity:
The lower the tolerance for anomaly detection;
The higher the frequency of insights generated for that asset group.
Sensitivity should reflect how important the asset is to operations and how often the team needs to be notified of any changes in its performance.
View the criticality matrix
If you're unsure which criticality level to assign, use the matrix available on the platform. It takes into account two main factors:
Asset failure probability
Operational impact of the failure
To access the matrix:
Go to "Settings";
Click on "Assets", then "Criticality";
Open the "Recommended Criticality Classification" tab.
Use criticality across the platform
Once configured, asset criticality can be used throughout the platform.
Filter assets by criticality
Go to the "Assets" tab in the side menu;
Click "Criticality" in the filters at the top;
Select one or more criticality categories to view.
Sort insights by criticality
Go to the "Overview" section and click "Insights";
In the upper-right corner, click "Sort by";
Select "Criticality" and choose the order.
